1.1 SCOPE
BrevisRefero Data Policy applies to all BrevisRefero websites operated by BrevisRefero Corporation. BrevisRefero Data Policy governs the collection and use of your data by BrevisRefero.
1.2 Data Collection
Depending on how you use our website, we collect different types of data:
- As a Visitor: You access our website anonymously without registering or logging in then BrevisRefero will not ask you to provide any information.
- As a Subscriber: You sign up for a free account and become a user of our website. We will ask you to provide us with certain Personally Identifiable Information or PII. PII is used to create your account. PII enables you to use our website.
- As a Fees for Service Subscriber: You purchased Services and therefore we will require your PII and Payment Data. This will enable us to process your purchase.
Subscriber data that we collect will be used in the following ways:
- To provide access to BrevisRefero features;
- To continuously improve the BrevisRefero Services and website features based on the information and feedback we receive.
- To share newsletter, promotional communications and updates through email for Subscribers that enable this content. If a Subscriber no longer wishes to receive BrevisRefero communications, they may opt-out of receiving them updating their account profile or by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link which appears at the bottom of every email we send. However, it should be noted that Subscribers may be unable to opt-out of certain important BrevisRefero related communications, at BrevisRefero's sole discretion.
1.3 Cookies
BrevisRefero utilizes Cookie Data to recognize and remember the following:
The type of browser you used to login to our website.
- Date and time you logged in to our website.
- Your preferred browser language.
- To help save your website preferences for future visits.
- To compile aggregated data about site traffic and site interactions.
BrevisRefero uses Cookie Data to offer better website experiences and tools in the future.
1.4 Third-Party Service Providers
BrevisRefero shares Subscriber data with certain trusted third-party providers who provide a range of services including: Website Performance Improvement Services, Subscriber Support Services, Billing Services, Cloud Hosting Solutions, and Analytics Services. As part of the provision of their services to BrevisRefero, BrevisRefero may transfer some of Subscriber's necessary information to them so they may perform such service. BrevisRefero has also entered into contracts with such third-party providers in order to ensure that the information that is provided regarding Subscribers is kept confidential and secure.
Other Specific Providers:
In certain circumstances, we may also disclose your information to other outside parties. This could happen if:
- We believe that, under the specific circumstances, releasing such information will be appropriate in order to comply with laws and regulations applicable to us;
- We want to protect our legitimate interest and in order to do so we would need to disclose your information, and only after we made sure that we cannot protect our interest without disclosing your information;
- We need to protect your interests, your company's interests or another entity's vital interests.
No information will ever be provided to outside parties for marketing, advertising or other such uses without your consent, or where we are obliged to disclose such information by law.
1.5 Subscriber Rights
1.5.1 Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that your right to data protection and privacy has been infringed by us in any way, you may contact the relevant supervisory authority in the place where you reside. You may also reach out to us by emailing us at complaint@brevisrefero.com.
1.5.2 Right to Access / Right to Rectification
BrevisRefero makes good faith effort to provide Subscribers with access to Subscriber data for viewing, editing and removal upon request.
BrevisRefero provides Subscribers the means to edit Subscriber data if it is inaccurate.
BrevisRefero deletes Subscriber Data on Subscriber's request, if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Subscribers may access, review, correct, update, change or delete their data at any time.
Subscribers may access their data using features available within BrevisRefero by signing into their account to make the desired changes.
Subscribers may access their data, by emailing BrevisRefero Support team at support@brevisrefero.com with your BrevisRefero Account Login User ID, your name and the specific data to be accessed, corrected or removed.
BrevisRefero may decline to process Subscriber data access requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort. In any case where BrevisRefero provides access and facilitates correction, the service is provided free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort.
Should a Subscriber delete their account, or BrevisRefero terminates a Subscriber's access to BrevisRefero Services in accordance with the Terms of Services, the Subscriber may no longer have the ability to access or update their Subscriber data.
1.5.3 Right to Be Forgotten/Erasure
The Subscriber may trigger a BrevisRefero account deletion request through either of the following processes:
- By clicking on the delete account button located within their account page.
- By emailing BrevisRefero Support team using the email address: support@brevisrefero.com using the Subject line "Account Deletion". BrevisRefero will respond to all account deletion requests within 30 days. Despite deletion request from a Subscriber, BrevisRefero may retain Subscriber's PII for the following reasons:
- To comply with a legal obligation;
- For public health purposes in the public interest;
- For archiving purposes in the public interest;
- For historical research;
- For statistical purposes;
- For the defense of legal claims.
1.5.4 Right to Data Portability
Subscriber has the right to ask us to provide a copy of your information to another entity or a service provider, in the event that you wish to move your account to them. If you wish to have such a copy, please contact us at legal@brevisrefero.com and we shall provide it to you in an electronic and machine-readable form so that you may transmit such information to another entity. If it is technically feasible and should you wish, we will transfer such information directly to such another entity at your request. Please be advised we will not be able to provide you with such a copy or transfer such information to such an entity if it would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of other Subscribers.
1.5.5 Data Sharing
BrevisRefero does not sell, trade, share or transfer Subscriber data to third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
- BrevisRefero may share Subscriber data with our subsidiaries and affiliates;
- BrevisRefero may share aggregate Subscriber data for general reporting to Subscribers or marketing or advertising of BrevisRefero, including the use of basic statistics collected from the site;
- BrevisRefero may share Subscriber data with its service providers for direct emailing of its newsletters or notifications of BrevisRefero according to the terms and conditions contained herein;
- BrevisRefero may share Subscriber data to process payments and enact collections of overdue payments;
- BrevisRefero may share and/or transfer Subscriber data, if BrevisRefero becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or any form of sale of some or all its assets;
- BrevisRefero may share Subscriber data with government entities to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud or security or technical issues;
- BrevisRefero may share Subscriber data when it has a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such Subscriber data is reasonably necessary to accomplish the following:
- Satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request;
- Enforce BrevisRefero Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof;
- Protect against imminent harm to BrevisRefero rights, property or safety, or that of Subscribers or the public as required or permitted by law;
- BrevisRefero may share aggregated or anonymized Subscriber data with third parties for other purposes. Anonymized Subscriber data does not identify Subscribers individually, but may include usage, viewing and technical data such as the types of services, BrevisRefero Subscribers generally use, the configuration of their computers, and performance metrics related to the use of BrevisRefero which BrevisRefero has collected.
1.5.6 Data Security
The security of Subscriber data is important to BrevisRefero. BrevisRefero has in place, physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect Subscriber data. Sensitive Subscriber data like passwords and CVV numbers are encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption technology.
All sensitive information, including credit card details, is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers database, which is only accessible to those authorized with special access to each system.
No method of transmission over the Internet, method of electronic storage or other security methods are one hundred percent secure. Therefore, while BrevisRefero strives to protect Subscriber data, BrevisRefero cannot guarantee its absolute security.
BrevisRefero shares limited access to Subscriber data with its directors, officers, employees, contractors and agents in order to provide relevant BrevisRefero Services to Subscribers. However, such privileged access comes with strict controls and logs monitoring usage.
1.5.7 Data Retention
BrevisRefero retains Subscriber data i) as necessary to support BrevisRefero, ii) to comply with BrevisRefero's own legal obligations, and iii) to resolve disputes. Any content posted by Subscribers, mainly but not limited to request for proposals and submitted proposals, will remain on BrevisRefero for a maximum of three (3) months following a shortlisting decision being made, which is known as the Data Retention Period. Complaints or action relating to a request for proposal process may only be lodged within the Data Retention Period, after which BrevisRefero will remove specific data and information related to the request for proposal process and will only retain aggregate data for use as outlined in the Data Sharing section. Subscriber information such as company or personal profile information will be removed upon request to BrevisRefero (support@brevisrefero.com) in the event a Subscriber ceases use of BrevisRefero or is terminated from use.
1.6 Change of Policy
BrevisRefero reserves the right to change its Privacy Policy at any time. If and when the changes are made, the "Last Edited" date on this page will reflect the same, with Subscribers being notified on this page, by email or through notice on other relevant webpages within BrevisRefero.
